  • All Shelties listed are vet checked and healthy, spayed or neutered, current on shots, HW tested, wormed, flea protected and groomed before they leave here. All dog height measurements (if given), are in inches, and from the ground to the top of the dogs back.

  • All dogs in our program are evaluated for temperament and individual needs. Then, guidelines for placement are decided upon for each dog. Please respect our knowledge and experience. We are only looking out for the best interest of our dogs.

  • We prefer to adopt our Shelties into homes without toddlers. Most Shelties are better suited for older children (over 10).

  • Long Term Foster Program -- is designed to find a loving home for dogs who may not have a lot of time left to live a quality life. These dogs deserve a safe, loving place to retire in and live out their days. With this program, we will pay for all extraordinary vet care for the life of the dog. You just need to provide a safe home, food, and lots of love.

Lassie - Still waiting - ADOPTED!!!

Lassie - Still waiting - ADOPTED!!!
"Lassie's wait is finally over. She has been adopted by a wonderful person and is living the good life now and getting lots and lots of love. Lassie's friend, Romeo, got adopted this weekend. He's very happy in his new home but now Lassie is left to wait without her old buddy. Is there someone out there who could be her new best friend? Say hello to little Lassie. She came in from the same barn where Romeo lived. Lassie is just adorable. A young 11 year old. She's about 14 inches tall. Cute as a bug. We think that she probably lived in that barn for her entire life. She's not quite housebroken and still needs some leash skills but she's a nice outgoing little thing and will make a great companion. She would probably like to be adopted with her friend Romeo but I think as long as she has another K9 companion she'll be fine. Do you have room in you heart and home for this sweet girl?"

    Annie - ADOPTED!

    Annie - ADOPTED!
"Annie has been adopted! This sweet little girl has been named after Little Orphan Annie. She was dumped at a shelter in Philadelphia when her owners brought her in for the winter (little a potted plant) and found out that she wasn't housebroken. Instead of working with her and letting her know what was expected they dumped her. Annie is just a year old. She's about 14 inches or so. Shy at first but will warm up. She didn't seem to like men at first but now sits on the couch with my husband and watches football! She walks pretty well on a leash and is good in the car. Gets along fine with other dogs. Annie is looking for a sheltie savvy home. Someone who will let her lovely personality emerge in its own time. It took about a week for her to finally feel comfortable here. Annie's new person should be someone who would take her to doggie school. She's a fast learner and would benefit greatly in a stimulating environment. She already knows how to sit and she loves to stand up on her hind legs and dance! A fenced yard is preferred so that she can run and play and be a puppy. We'd like to keep Annie local and we don't adopt to homes with young children. Please click on "Adoption Application to fill one out if you're interested in this little dog."

    Teddy ADOPTED

    Teddy ADOPTED
"Just in! Teddy is a three year old boy. His owner has Alzheimer's and has just gone to a nursing home. The family wasn't able to take Teddy so he's just come in to rescue. Teddy is going to be neutered later this week and then will be ready for adoption. We don't know much about his personality yet so please stay tuned :-)"

    Romeo - ADOPTED!!!

    Romeo - ADOPTED!!!
"Romeo has been adopted! He's in a super new home with a wonderful woman and a border collie as his new friends. Romeo has really lucked out and is now getting all the love he so richly deserves. Is there anyone out there now for his old friend, Lassie? This fine fellow had been living in a barn with several other dogs (see "Lassie") when some nice neighbors got the people to turn him over to them. Romeo is just 9 years old, about 16 inches tall and as sweet as sweet can be. He seems to have been someone's pet at sometime in the past. He likes people, gets along great with other dogs and walks nicely on lead. He's an overall good dog. He will thrive on being doted on and looks forward to meeting his new people. Will you be that home? If interested, please click on Adoption Application and fill it out."

    Fenway - Adopted!!

    Fenway - Adopted!!
"Fenway is a 5 year old little girl. Her owners have a 1 year old baby and a 2 1/2 year old child. Fenway has had a hard time adjusting. She is now looking for a new home where she can run and play without worrying about the kids. Fenway's foster mom says that she is adjusting well and gets along fine with her two shelties. Fenway is not sure about the cat! Fenway is crate trained and housebroken and rides well in the car. If you would be interested in adopting Fenway, please click on the Adoption Application on the menu and take a moment to fill it out."

    Sophie - ADOPTED!!!

    Sophie - ADOPTED!!!
"Poor little Sophie has arrived at her foster home and is reported to be very very sad. Is there someone out there who can offer this sweet girl a little joy in her life? Sophie is a little 10 year old girl who will soon be looking for a new home. Her owner's elderly mother has Alzheimers disease and needs to move in with the family. They are afraid that the grandmother will let Sophie out so they want to place her in a new, loving home to keep her safe. Here's what Sophie's owners has to say about her.... "Sophie is a bi-blue, with one blue eye and one brown, she stands about 13-14 inches at the shoulder. Shopie smiles quite a bit, is afraid of loud noises (especially thunder). She likes to be near someone and loves to be talked to, it doesn't matter much what your telling her as long as you include her in the conversation. Her favorite toy is a clothe hot dog, she likes trying to get it away from you as well as keeping you from getting it away from her. Taking walks are fine but she would prefer to bask in the sun on the patio on a cool day. Sophie's most favorite all time activity is being petted. She's not crazy about going to the vet or to the groomer, but handles it well. Sophie gets sad if you raise your voice and will hang her sweet head to let you know shes sad. She is also more comfortable with a steady routine and becomes a little confused with change. She has such a wonderful personality sometimes I think shes quite human. To say the least she's sweet and deserves to live out her years in a warm and loving home." Sophie is up to date on her shots and is getting groomed and having her teeth cleaned before she goes to her new home. Who would like to help this sweet girl? You can fill out an application for Sophie by clicking on the application link to the left"

    Blue ADOPTED!

    Blue ADOPTED!
"Blue has been adopted by his foster family! They totally fell in love with him. He now has another sheltie friend to run and play with and gets tons and tons of love from his new mom and dad! This poor boy's people just moved to Oregon without him! At age 12, Blue suddenly has found himself abandoned. He doesn't really seem to care much because he is in a wonderful foster home and is having a fine time. Blue is a great guy. He's calm and laid back. He enjoys following his foster people around. He gets along great with the other shelties in the house and is good with the cat. He's a little over 16 inches tall. Blue is wanting very much to be someone's special boy and get the love and attention that he deserves. If you'd like to meet Blue, please fill out an application and get the ball rolling!"

    Tilly ADOPTED!!!

    Tilly ADOPTED!!!
"Little Tilly has finally found her special people!! After a visit to the eye doctor to find that she retinal degeneration, a lovely retired couple adopted her. Tilly is living large and being pampered and lovin' it!!! This dear little girl was found as a stray. The shelter was so full that they were going to put her down but they remembered to call sheltie rescue and she was saved. Tilly may have been lost because her eyesight is very poor. She has a small cataract in one eye but that doesn't seem to be the source of her problem. We will probably be taking Tilly to the eye doctor soon to see if its something that can be fixed. Speaking of 'fixed' Tilly will be having that done too. I can't say enough good things about this sweet little dog. She's just 15 lbs, about 13 inches tall. Her age is a mystery. We're guessing somewhere between 6 and 9. Despite her poor vision, Tilly gets around fine. She is great with the other dogs and doesn't bother the cats. She loves being petted and is letting her playful side show a little bit. I think she'd enjoy a quiet home and would need a fenced yard so she doesn't get lost again."

    GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY!!! ADOPTED!!!!

    GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY!!! ADOPTED!!!!
"Molly has been adopted and is now living the life of luxury in a retirement community where is the bell of the ball. Molly is making many new friends and is a huge hit wherever she goes! Look at the new and imporved Molly! Isn't she gorgeous??? She has put on some weight and is feeling great! Molly came to stay with me while her foster mom was away. This is the very best dog in the whole world! She has the most wonderfully outgoing personality. She has a wagging tail for everyone that she meets. Molly loves nothing better than meeting new people and having them admire her beauty. She enjoys going for walks and loves the car. Molly would make a great therapy dog. Is there anyone out there who would like to give her a chance to shine? Here's what her foster mom has to say about her..... Miss Molly Many people passed by this hidden treasure while she was in the shelter. Miss Molly fell on hard times and found herself skinny, bare, and alone in a shelter. Rescued by her friends, she is now gaining weight and growing hair, and is ready for a new home. Molly is a senior girl, but don't let that stop you! She has a zest for life that I have rarely seen in a dog her age. She runs and plays, and her tail never stops wagging! She loves to go for walks. She loves affection and will give her paw to you to ask for more petting. Molly is a very happy girl who is looking for someone to have fun with and to be spoiled by. Are you the person for her?""

    Lewie-mon ADOPTED!!!!!

    Lewie-mon ADOPTED!!!!!
"Little Lewis, or Lewi-man as he is known, is just as cute as can be. He will need someone with a completely fenced yard and a lot of patience. Lewis came from a long history of being allowed to mark whenever and wherever he wanted, which he continues to try to do. He wears his doggy pants in the house. He prefers to find the farthest corner away from people and activity in which to lay in wait. He is approachable and easily handled, yet does not as of yet approach people of his own accord. If he thinks no one is looking, he is beginning to experiment with dog toys a bit. He loves the other dogs here and will run and play with them in the yard if no people are out there with them. He will need a quiet home with someone who will understand his need for space, yet will continue to work with him at his speed to get him to realize the joys of being someone’s pet. Lewis is approximately 10-11 years old and in good health."
